Phases of the project
The AIGUANEIX project has a number of different phases, including the construction and installation of a new pilot plant, experimental activities, and the presentation of results and conclusions.
Construction
The arrival of the container at the workshop marks the start of the first phase: construction of the pilot plant. During the first few months of the project, the technical team will focus their efforts on the plant’s structure, in order to equip it with the necessary systems and equipment to ensure adequate treatment and monitoring. At the end of this phase, the pilot plant will be ready for installation and subsequent entry into operation.
Experimentation
When the pilot plant is in place and all of the connections to the Roses WWTP have been made, the experimental phase will begin. In this phase, which is the project’s longest, the plant will begin the process of purifying the water supplied by the WWTP in accordance with the work plan drawn up by the project’s scientific director. The technical team will test the plant under different operating conditions, take samples and analyse the water, in order to make the necessary adjustments to achieve the project’s ultimate objective.
Results / Conclusion
In the final phase of the project, the results obtained will be presented and analysed and the plant’s performance will be evaluated. The data obtained will be assessed with a view to validating the extent to which the objectives defined at the start of the project have been achieved, and to draw conclusions regarding the application of water purification at full scale.
