Intense rainfall, reaching up to 223 mm in less than 48 hours in&nbsp;Palafrugell, led to the overflow of the Aubi stream and the complete flooding of the Palam\u00f3s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), with water levels reaching up to 1.9 metres.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The facility, which serves several municipalities in the area, became inoperative due to the loss of electricity supply.
